We had the opportunity to chat with Lara Srokowski, the Lancôme Beauty Director, earlier this year. She headed the artistry team for Melbourne Fashion Festival 2023 and played a crucial role in delivering stunning beauty looks for each runway. Lara worked closely with the designers to showcase Lancôme's range of products in a fresh and exciting way. We were curious to know about her favourite products and beauty trends. Here's what she shared with us.
What are the key looks to expect this season?
This season on the runway you can expect to see a trend of Lancôme’s signature glowing skin, paired with a pop of colour, cutting-edge winged liner and bold statement lips.
What are some of the must-have Lancôme beauty products we need in our winter make-up kit?
Lancôme’s signature skin trio, Advanced Genifique, Renergie H.C.F Triple serum and Ultra Wear foundation. These are the key products we are using backstage to achieve runway-ready skin and are such a good trio for a hydrated glowing complexion. I focus on serum-based products like Advanced Genifique and Renergie Triple serum, using these two serums together will provide you with healthy hydrated skin. For foundation, Ultra Wear is a great formula to even out the complexion. During winter our skin tends to dry out a little more, so a beauty hack I love doing is to mix a few drops of Advanced Genifique into the Ultra Wear foundation to achieve a more natural luminous finish. I also like to tap a small amount of advanced Genifique on the higher points of the face to add a boost of luminosity to the skin.
What are some of the trends coming through from global fashion weeks?
Fresh paired back skin is a trend that we continue to see on the global runways and this year we saw it paired with lots of colourful vivid eye looks and mono-chromatic blush.
What's your go-to Lancôme product?
Advanced Genifique, I love using Genifique daily in my skincare routine to keep my skin healthy and hydrated. I love the fact that you can also incorporate Advanced Genifique into your makeup routine by mixing it into your foundation or applying a small amount on top of the cheekbones for an extra glow.
