IDOM Receives Four Awards at the World Design Awards 2020
Over the years, I've had the pleasure of working with some incredible creative designers, and I’ve inevitably developed a considerable admiration for global design.
I feel it's important to recognise designers today, regardless of their chosen field – whether it’s architecture, interiors, urban, or industrial design, all designers are continually confronted with many challenges. Factors like the climate, environment, population, or cityscapes are just a few elements that shape the integrity of the overall design, and it’s for this reason I wanted to share with you IDOM's award-winning projects.
Earlier this year, The Architecture Community – organiser of the prestigious World Design Awards – announced the winning projects in its 2020 edition. Among them, four of the awards went to internationally renowned firm IDOM, a corporation based in Spain. Excellence is at the core of the company’s integration of sustainability, innovation, and technology, and with global offices and a team of independent professionals working in the fields of consulting, engineering, and architecture, it comes as no surprise that the Spanish company is one of the first to receive not only the most awards, but also the most prestigious award in Spain.
This year, IDOM received first prize in the Sports & Recreation Built category for The San Mames Stadium, followed by awards for the Lima Convention Center in the Cultural Built category; the University of Bambey in the Institutional Building Built category; and the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council in the Public Building Built category.
