The week-long event starts today with the Secret Garden Runway at Royal Botanic Gardens, presented by Vogue Australia.
The intimate outdoor fashion showcase will transport attendees to a place of beauty and optimism, featuring 2021 National Indigenous Fashion Award winner, Ngali, alongside Aje, Akira, Helen O'Connor, MAARA Collective, Alemais, Leo Lin, Nevenka, Ginger & Smart and Asiyam, styled by Carlos Mangubat.
Melbourne's sun sets on a glamorous opening night at one of the Regent Theatre's most unique venues – the Plaza Ballroom. Colourful and flowing fabrics, along with glamorous silhouettes from Acler, CAMILLA, Dom Bagnato, Jack London, JASONGRECH, MISHA and Nicola Finetti will be on display.

More than 250 designers and 300 retailers will take part in over 100 separate events and sessions during Melbourne Fashion Week, which runs from 15 to 21 November.
In addition to a mix of emerging, independent and established designers and brands, the M/FW 2021 program also celebrates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and the diversity of Australia's fashion industry.
There will be pop-up runways showcasing the look of local designers, eight fashion capsules showcasing the work of dozens of creatives and artists located throughout the city, online M/FW Conversation events featuring industry experts and an array of independent events.
Student Collection Runway and Student Designer Award will return as part of the M/FW Student Program, continuing to support students and emerging designers.
The City of Melbourne and Vogue Australia have joined forces once again this year, with the return of Vogue American Express Fashion's Night Out for shoppers and the city.
The event will provide much-needed boost to city's retail and hospitality industries, including exclusive ‘drink and exclusive 'drink and dine' offers will be available for M/FW ticket holders at city venues, including Bar Bambi Longrain, Chancery Lane, Calia Emporium and Bar Lourinha.
The Melbourne Fashion Week program includes free events, and all ticketed runways can be seen online after each event, with runway looks available online and in city stores.
Melbourne Fashion Week is a carbon-neutral event. The 2018 M/FW was the first event of its kind to be certified under the Federal Government's Climate Active Program.
We know Melbourne Fashion Week provides a significant boost to the local economy. Last year’s event brought $29million into the city.
