Despite being no stranger to the world of high fashion, it was only just last month that designer Aaron Fluck opened the doors to his very first flagship boutique right here in Melbourne.
Fluck and his team have built on the designer's pre-existing clientele and, considering Fluck’s prior stints as a menswear designer in Melbourne and then womenswear designer in London, working across David Koma and Marks & Spencer, it’s clear that the brand has faced little trouble in gaining and retaining the attention of both new and existing industry clients.
Graduating from RMIT and designing both men's and womenswear collections overseas, Fluck became known by many Australian consumers after the talented designer won the Australasian Young Designer Wool Awards back in 2009. The award saw Fluck walk away with an $11,500 Handbury scholarship to attend a reputable three-week fashion design course in Milan.
Designing a collection that reflected the horrific Black Saturday Bushfires, an event he personally witnessed from his family’s farm at the foothills of the Kinglake Range, Fluck produced works that Australian consumers personally resonated and connected with, cementing his status as a highly respected local designer.
Fast-forward to today and Aaron Fluck is back in Australia, having opened the doors to his brand's first brick-and-mortar flagship boutique right here in Melbourne.
Positioned at 99 Grattan Street in Carlton, Fluck’s flagship boutique displays the brand's entire range of elevated essentials. Known for their classic cuts and modern silhouettes, the Melbourne-made ready-to-wear brand encourages consumers to express their fashionable self, all while paying homage to the beauty of Australian land, nature, and life.
Valuing fashion as much as its impact on the environment has seen Fluck and his team use a range of consciously sustainable practices.
Opting to offer an exclusive range of made-to-order pieces and limited production runs on select styles means Fluck continues to successfully minimise the brand's impact on the environment.
