SYDNEY'S BEST NEW YEAR'S EVE SPOTS
After a year to remember, we’re more than ready to close the chapter and start fresh in 2022, so what better idea than to celebrate the end of the year in one of the most iconic venues of the city?

After a year without fireworks in Sydney, we can say loud and clear that we are happy to see them back on the agenda – both the 9pm and 12am Sydney Harbour fireworks! It’s time to get glammed up and enjoy the night with your loved ones, but if you’re not sure what to do, here are the top five best events happening in Sydney this NYE. Take your pick!

Opera Kitchen

Is there anything more iconic than the Sydney Opera House? We don’t think so, especially given it’s one of the fanciest food courts around. The views are stunning, the food is affordable, and honestly, there is no better place to be as we close 2021.

For this New Year’s Eve, the Opera Kitchen delivers a whole festive package with views of the fireworks, canapés, and entertainment throughout the night at $350pp.

O Bar

This is the place to be if you want to enjoy both culinary and festive experiences simultaneously. Contemporary menus with a healthy twist are the vibe at the O Bar.

They are offering different options for different budgets, from a $695 8-course tasting menu with a glass of NV Louis Roederer Brut on arrival to a more intimate experience of the same 8-course degustation menu, along with premium wine pairing, tea and coffee, a glass of 2012 Louis Roederer Cristal. Plus canapés, butler service and a lovely gift box of homemade petit fours to have while watching the fireworks from a private view.

Cafe Sydney

A rooftop experience like no other, Cafe Sydney delivers gorgeous views to delight you and your loved ones with the magic of the annual fireworks.

For this year’s NYE, they have put together a mouthwatering menu. They are offering a six-course dinner with pairing wine for $980, including a glass of Perrier Jouët Brut to toast for the closing of 2021 and welcoming the year that’s to come.

The Butler

If you don’t feel like visiting the crowded harbour area this year, The Butler at Potts Point is the perfect setting for you and your night’s company. They offer one of the most beautiful setups between the city and the Eastern Suburbs, with very affordable prices for an unforgettable experience.

Sunset lovers, the views here are worthy of a top-notch end of the year. At the same time, you indulge yourself with an 8-course NYE Ibero-American feast for the shockingly low cost of $210, including a glass of champagne on arrival and a bespoke dinner menu uniquely curated to awaken your tastebuds. If you are keen on matching beverages, you can also add a two-and-a-half-hour beverage package for an extra $95 per person. And let the party start!

Catalina

Suppose you want to feel the magic of the fireworks, but you’re not keen on jumping into the city madness. In that case, Catalina is the place ideally located in Rose Bay.

This year, they’re offering two setting options – an early dinner starting at 6pm ($300 pp) or a later one kicking off at 8:30pm ($600 pp). Both timings are filled with 4-course menus and live entertainment, with a bonus firework spectacle on the water for those attending the late sitting.
