Luxe Hair Oils You Need This Season: Our 2020 Guide
Just like a good skincare routine, our hair also needs a routine – but it doesn't have to be complicated.

In fact, as a former hairdresser, I keep my hair routine relatively minimal, and have found incorporating an oil has saved me both time and money – not to mention saving my locks from heat styling tools and the environment.

You have to protect your hair: not too many heat styling tools on your hair. You should use nourishment hair masks, conditioners, and products that have oils in it.

Cue a new generation of hair oils, a product that is fast becoming the go-to and is proven to be the ultimate multitasker!

The science behind the new generation of oils plays a considerable role, and many are now developed to be lightweight and infused with vitamins and proteins to help nourish and repair hair, while simultaneously protecting and styling. If your tresses need some extra shine during winter or if you want to tame frizz in summer, a hair oil could be your new must-have styling product; it's certainly mine!

1. Shu Uemura's Essence Absolue Nourishing Protective Hair Oil

This #1 best-selling multi-use hair oil rebalances the hair's moisture level from mid-lengths to ends. Formulated for daily use, it protects and intensely nourishes hair while providing UV protection, all without weighing down even the finest of hair. Safe on coloured hair, it leaves the hair shiny and glossy.

2.  Kerestase’s Elixir Ultime Original Hair Oil

This is a hair oil for all types of dull hair looking for shine. It nourishes and protects the hair while leaving it beautifully glossy.

3. GISOU’s Honey Infused Hair Oil

This is the brand’s first iconic product, and still one of the most loved. This oil can be used as a pre-styling and finishing product, and as an addition to a hair mask or an overnight treatment. It's enriched with Mirsalehi Honey from the Mirsalehi Bee Garden and is formulated to rebuild and repair hair to the core.

4. Oribe’s Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil

This luxuriously light oil absorbs instantly. Infused with a rich blend of jasmine, edelweiss flower, lychee, sandalwood, cassis, bergamot, and argan extracts, it penetrates the hair to deeply condition, strengthen, and smooth, imparting intense nourishment and incredible shine.

5. Kevin Murphy’s YOUNG.AGAIN

The ultimate daily indulgence for damaged and ageing hair, YOUNG.AGAIN is a weightless leave-in treatment oil that rejuvenates and nourishes. Infused with Immortelle to help counteract oxidation and, therefore, the ageing process, the intensely nurturing treatment oil delivers deep conditioning benefits that leave hair feeling soft and smooth alongside an overall boost to shine.

6. Aesop’s Shine

This is a silicone-free hydrating oil that nourishes and softens hair, delivers essential fatty acids, and imparts smoothness and lustre without build-up or oily residue. A great all-rounder – superb for beards, too!

These hair oils are the ultimate products in keeping your hair looking and feeling great. Maintaining the health of your hair has never been easier, so if you're finding your tresses need a little lift, one of these oils could be the answer!
