The Coolest Things to Do in Bondi, Sydney This Summer
A combination of laid-back coastal lifestyle and urban living, this suburb lives up to the hype.

While we welcome the summer season into full swing here in Australia, we have to admit – few places in the world live up to the summery standards quite like Bondi Beach does. We’re sure that you might’ve heard of (or even have visited) one of the most famous sandy places on earth, Bondi Beach itself. Still, perhaps to your surprise, there are quite a lot of things to do in the 'Bondi bubble’ other than sunbathing! It’s no wonder some of us won’t dare to travel out of the 2026 postcode at any cost. We have all we need here!

From the best stays to your beauty and wellness fix and beyond, these are the coolest places in Bondi for you to discover this summer, and, of course, you can thank us later. You’re welcome!

Restaurants

Totti’s

Calling all foodies! Suppose you’re missing your Euro travel this year, particularly Italy and its beloved food scene. In that case, there is no better place to indulge your appetite than the renowned Totti’s at the back of The Royal on Bondi Road. As a favourite of A-listers, it can be almost an impossible mission to guarantee a booking, so we recommend you do your homework and book a few months in advance.

P.S: Don’t miss out on their woodfire bread – you won’t regret it!

Icebergs Dining Room and Bar

What is more quintessentially Sydney than eating while admiring the breathtaking views of Bondi Beach? Named one of Sydney’s best waterfront venues, Icebergs Dining Room and Bar will delight you with a high-end, sophisticated seasonal menu on your visit. Or you can enjoy a divine Italian tasting menu for the whole table at $250 per person. Ask for pairing drinks, and you are all set up.

Drinks

La Palma

A new kid on the block, but this Caribbean venue is here to stay. Inspired by a Cuban aesthetic, you will get a magnificent cocktail line-up at your disposal. The outdoor area – decked out with palms, banana leaves, and other plant life – is a no-brainer for anyone looking for after-work cocktails, from the classic 'Old Cuban’, mojitos, and piña coladas to creative concoctions for the most daring palates.

Mama Saan

This Beach Road venue just had a makeover, looking more stylish than ever. It’s the place that locals adore for some tunes and friendly gatherings while enjoying some of their unique cocktail creations – not to mention the sake and Japanese whiskey for even the most refined palates. Since their reopening, they have been offering live music a few times per week with jazz, rock, or techno options for everyone.

Stay

Hotel Ravesis

If you dream of a staycation with beach views, the Ravesis is definitely what you’re looking for. The unique decor transformed the iconic venue into a hot pink flamingo paradise with tropical views and 12 rooms. You will book for the views and stay for the entertainment, with DJs playing along most nights.

The Baxley Bondi

A minimal boutique accommodation with beautiful and aesthetically pleasing coastal vibes! This luxury venue will take you straight away into a Hamptons-inspired holiday without leaving Sydney when staying in one of their 30 boutique rooms.

Wellness

Slow House Bondi

This is a place to switch off and take care of your body and mind. Immerse yourself in its peaceful environment located in Curlewis Street. Among their must-try-treatments are infrared saunas, ice baths, and body scrubs. Feeling particularly luxurious? Book a Signature Slow treatment for 75 minutes of dedicated self-care.

Orchard St

If you are a wellness guru, this elixir bar needs to be on your radar NOW! Enter a holistic heaven in North Bondi. Please don’t leave without a herbal elixir or a mylk smoothie alongside a consciously curated selection of lifestyle products guided by one of their expert naturopaths.

Beauty

Tan Temple

Is there anything better than a bronzed skin to rock all year long? No, we didn’t think so, and if you are trying not to put your skin in the sun these days, you better get your feet into this tanning salon. Every application is tailored to your skin, and no, you won’t leave any orangey vibes behind you – more like an olive undertone, if you ask me.

Solstice Skin

This new beauty space has everything your skin needs, with customised facials and linen treatment beds. An array of expert naturopaths will help you on the journey of getting your best skin ever; all you need is to make a booking and enjoy your way to clear and smooth skin.

Hair

Koda Cutters

Have you heard of the 'Bondi Blonde’ before? Well, what better place is there than Bondi to bleach into your most natural colour? Creative director and founder Diane Gorgievski is the go-to for influencers and celebs, like Delta Goodrem. FYI, you might need to be calling now if you want to skip the waiting list before the summer ends.

MOB Hair

At MOB, they are specialised in getting those blonde highlights to the next level. Whether you’re looking for full foils, balayage, or some toning, they will give #BondisBestHair. But that’s not all –  they’re also a proudly sustainable and premium salon offering the best from Kevin Murphy and Olaplex.

Activities

Bondi Clay

This is an eco-friendly pottery studio to let your creativity run freely, with sustainable practices every step of the way. Book a class for yourself or with some of your loved ones and be ready to re-discover the power of mother earth through clay energy.

Twenty-Twenty Six Gallery

This dynamic art gallery in the heart of Bondi Beach is headed by painter Martine Emdur. The gallery presents a platform for stories of today’s most gifted artists to be told and the most talented unearthed and emerging artists. If you are looking for a creative landscape or a different plan for rainy days, I think you’ve found it.
