The New Revel Food and Culture Festival Takes Over Byron Bay This Spring

The New Revel Food and Culture Festival Takes Over Byron Bay This Spring
There's a brand new food festival coming to Byron Bay in November 2022, and we can't wait!

The festival will take over restaurants, businesses, and iconic spots around Byron Bay for long lavish lunches, twilight soirées, public art installations, performances, health and wellness classes, produce markets, tours, panel discussions, workshops, and much more.

As we all know, the hospitality industry was one of the hardest hit by the pandemic along with tourism, arts and music, and these are all industries that Byron Shire support in a large way for a regional place.

Following the recent COVID pandemic and local flooding, Alex Taylor, Founder and Director of REVEL Byron Bay Food and Culture Festival, was inspired to help the local community recover, and with the town's diversity and incredible creatives and entrepreneurs, a festival is the perfect way to boost and stimulate local businesses.

Chef David Moyle, the Festival's Food Curator and Chief of Food at Harvest Newrybar since 2020, describes Byron Bay's incredible food culture from now to thousands of years ago, making it the perfect place to appreciate and celebrate it.

What this festival stands to achieve is important for this community that's been rocked by so many challenges in the past few years. It will be great to bring people back together to enjoy the company of friends and family with good food and good vibes in a beautiful setting.

The entire North Byron Hotel will be turned into a food, beverage, music, and arts precinct thanks to REVEL Festival Village. REVEL will feature a number of exciting events in the village, including Harvest, Raes on Wategos, Three Blue Ducks, Belongil Beach Italian Food, Bang Bang Byron Bay, Barrio, Capiche, The Hut, The Roadhouse, Treehouse on Belongil, and Mosey on Inn group.

The spectacular Byron Bay Main Beach will host Beachside REVEL events on Thursday and Friday, including the festival's opening on Thursday, and the Secret REVEL Garden in town will host a variety of events on Saturday and Sunday.

The Northern Rivers is home to diverse and vibrant communities and has incredible creative talent, great food, and spectacular natural beauty, and I am looking forward to how this new festival will showcase this.

While we don't yet know what arts and culture will be included in the line-up, Delta Kay, Paul McNeil, and Karlee Mackie are helping to advise REVEL in its first year.

Revel Byron Bay Food and Culture Festival will run from Thursday, November 10 until Sunday, November 13 at various locations around Byron Bay and the Northern Rivers region. For more information, please visit revelbyronbay.com.
