With pre-recorded presentations shot both in the city itself and all over the world, Copenhagen Fashion Week’s all-digital showcase for A/W 2021 offered a range of practical and spectacular looks.
Although the collections weren’t short on Copenhagen’s typical bright colours, some of the standout brands made beautiful use of subdued and neutral tones, such as in By Malene Birger’s exaggerated silhouettes and Lovechild 1979’s more tailored pieces. The various shows explored a sense of being at home and the comfort of the everyday, as well as the feeling of being strangers in a global community.
In reality, no one knows where we are headed … and we are all headed there together. That is the beauty of it all." – Lovechild 1969
