Introducing the Future of Sustainable Fashion: Epson and Yuima Nakazato's Innovative Collection

Revolutionising fashion with cutting-edge technology and sustainable design.

Created in partnership with EPSON, this innovative collection showcases the potential of digital textile printing technology and new fabric production processes to revolutionise the fashion industry. Inspired by the theme of "Love and Peace," renowned fashion designer, YUIMA NAKAZATO, has created a collection that is both stunningly beautiful and environmentally responsible. The collection features an array of bold and intricate designs, made possible by Epson's advanced digital printing technology.

But what sets the YUIMA NAKAZATO collection apart is the use of Epson's dry fiber technology, which allows for the creation of new fabrics from disused garments. By sourcing material from used garments in Africa, Nakazato has shown his commitment to reducing waste and protecting the environment. The ML-13000 digital textile printer, which uses pigment ink rather than traditional dye-based inks, also significantly reduces water use. This means that not only is the YUIMA NAKAZATO collection beautifully designed, but it is also created in an eco-friendly way.

By using innovative technology, Nakazato has been able to push the boundaries of traditional fashion design while still adhering to his vision of creating clothes that are kind to the environment. The YUIMA NAKAZATO collection marks a pivotal moment for the fashion industry to shift towards a more sustainable future. Through this collaboration with Epson, Nakazato has demonstrated how technology can be used to create sustainable fashion that is both beautiful and environmentally responsible. The YUIMA NAKAZATO collection is a testament to the potential of digital textile printing and sustainable fabric production processes to revolutionise the fashion industry.

Although in its early stages, Epson believes its dry fibre technology combined with pigment ink digital printing could offer the fashion industry a much more sustainable future, significantly reducing water use while allowing designers the freedom to fully express their creativity.

Hitoshi Igarashi from Epson's Printing Solutions Division explains the importance of the technology

This collection is more than just a fashion statement – it is a call to action for the industry to adopt more sustainable practices. With the YUIMA NAKAZATO collection, Nakazato and Epson have shown that it is possible to create high-end fashion that is both stylish and environmentally responsible. We can't wait to see what's next for this innovative partnership.
