So, I decided to take the plunge and get anti-wrinkle injections, and boy was I in for a ride. To be perfectly honest, the idea of getting Botox on my face didn't appeal to me until recently. I used to be extremely needle-phobic, to the point where the sight of a needle would have me fainting. However, since my phobia has been under control for a while now and with my job in the industry, it was only a matter of time before I started considering the procedure.
Initially, I thought I'd wait till I turned 30 to get the injections. But when Ageless Clinics offered me a complimentary treatment, I jumped at the opportunity. I know what you're thinking - "28 is too young!" But hear me out; everyone's journey is different, and there's no right or wrong time to take that leap.
The night before my treatment, I barely slept because of my anxiety. When I arrived at the clinic, I was met by Dr Maryam Ronagh, who was informed about my needle phobia. She was patient and explained the procedure in great detail, which helped alleviate my fears. After assessing my face, she injected Botox in strategic areas to prevent lines and wrinkles on my forehead, target a scar between my eyebrows, and smoothen out my crow's feet and chin.
And then came the needles. And to my surprise, it didn't even hurt! I couldn't believe I had let my fear hold me back for so long. So, my advice to anyone considering a procedure is to do your research, take the plunge, and don't let fear hold you back.
It's been a few weeks since my treatment, and I'm thrilled with the results. My face looks fresher and more youthful but still natural. Dr Maryam advised that the best results would be visible after two weeks, and boy was she right!
