Exclusive backstage access to the hottest beauty trends of the season!

As the Casper Beauty Editor, I'm taking you on a journey behind the scenes of Australian Fashion Week. This week's shows were nothing short of glamorous, and we have your front-row ticket to the most mesmerising hair, makeup, and skincare trends that graced the runway. From OPI x Michael Lo Sordo's killer twist on the modern French Tip to Emma Lewisham x Maggie Marilyn's lit-from-within skin, we've got all the scoop on what's trending and what's not. So, whether you're a beauty enthusiast, a fashion lover, or simply seeking inspiration, get ready to be immersed in the ultimate beauty extravaganza we witnessed during the week.

Let's dive right into the details. OPI Nail Director, Mikele Simone, nailed the brief for the Michael Lo Sordo Runway Collection with a modernised take on the French tip. She used multiple shades, including 'Big Apple Red,' 'Black Onyx,' and 'Sage Simulation,' to create an elegant and expensive look. For Emma Lewisham x Maggie Marilyn, Skin Director Molly Warkentin created a beauty look with a focus on 'lit from within' skin using Emma Lewisham's bespoke Facial Protocol - the Illuminating Skin Reset Facial. They used luxurious products like the Illuminationg Oil Cleanser and Supernatural Sleeping Mask to impart a luminous sun-kissed glow.

Redken Hair Director Jacky Chan brought some fun and eye-catching looks to the runway for REDKEN x Erik Yvon. They utilised three different looks, some with stencil and pops of pink, and some glitter looks and hairpieces for a really fun runway. For MARIAM SEDDIQ, Maddison Voloshin, Davroe Hair Ambassador, created a simple but structured ponytail tailored to each girl wearing it. The hair is magically frozen in midair, creating a gravity-defying ponytail that is as sharp as an ice pick. And the Make Up Forever team finished the models beautiful looks.

Lastly, MECCA x Ikuntji Artists beauty looks were customised to the vibrant colours, textures, and patterns of each fabric, while complimenting each model's features. They had a lot of fun with color for this show! Using products like Mecca Max's Off Duty Highlighting Glass Stick, NARS High Pigment Long-wear Eyeliner, and Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil, they achieved bold winged liner in a variety of colors and glowing complexions.

Revamp Australia x Karla Spetic utilized the 432Hz frequency to stamp the hair with textures of frequency representing High and Low-frequency waves. This look, called 'Stamps of Frequency,' was created using the 6-in1 Air Styler, Diverse, and Steamcare Straightener.

That's it for our Beauty Wrap-Up from Afterpay Australian Fashion Week Resort 24. Stay tuned for more behind-the-scenes details and information on the latest trends in the world of fashion and beauty. Thank you for reading and have a great day!
